The Women’s EMU Bronte is not only one of the most popular boots from EMU Australia, it is a great alternative to other classic Australian boots for women who might be doing a bit more “penny pinching” with their budget.

Looks: This boot is very similar (or perhaps even identical) to other brands of boots in appearance. It has a simple structure with a rounded upper and straight-up boot shaft. The seams are double stitched on the outside of the boot for extra durability and to add to the “classic” looks.

Quality and Construction: The Bronte is a high quality, well-crafted boot. However per consumer reviews, it is not quite as well crafted as other brands or styles of boots with a similar look to them, but still are a good value. Rather than being constructed with sheepskin inside and out, these boots are made with suede for the upper and merino wool lining on the inside of the boot. Even though they are not created with sheepskin material, they are still quite comfortable and the merino wool lining functions to keep feet dry and warm in the winter, as well as cooler in the summer.

Price: Retail price for the Bronte runs around one half of similar designs of boots made with sheepskin. However, they are also normally available for markdown prices, making them about one third of a price of a similar style boot. This factor makes these boots more in the price range for ladies who might be more concerned about spending too much money or “splurging”.

Heights: Like other makes and brands of classic Australian boots, the Bronte is available in “Hi”, “Lo” (mid-calf) and a “Mini” heights.

Overall: I highly recommend the EMU Bronte Boot – although it is not the same thing as a similar boot constructed from sheepskin in terms of its comfort, it still is one of the most well-made and comfortable boots around – and most definitely worth the price.
