A giant pink ruffle nestled companionably on the hip of a black pencil skirt; a gold, tiered-ruffle tunic, peeked out from beneath a fitted, black spencer-jacket; a little shift dress was composed of layers of ruffles in alternate shades of petrol-blue and forest-green; and an egg-shaped coat in egg-yolk yellow featured a ruffled collar to frame the face.
