Sex and the City Fashion: Charlotte

Charlotte - Kristin Landen Davis was born on February 23, 1965 in Boulder, Colorado. An only child, her parents divorced when she was a baby and she was adopted by her stepfather after he married her mother in 1968. Early in her childhood, Kristin and her parents moved to Columbia, South Carolina, where her stepfather (a psychology professor) was transferred to a university. She lived in South Carolina until she graduated high school in 1982. She then moved to New Jersey, where she attended Rutgers University. After graduation, she moved to New York and waited tables before opening a yoga studio with a friend. In 1995, she got her big break when she landed the role of Brooke Armstrong Campbell on “Melrose Place” (1992). She left the show after one year when producers found that audience members hated her bitchy character. In 1998, Kristin was cast as Charlotte York in “Sex and the City” (1998), of which she remained an integral cast member until the series ended in 2004. Kristin Davis currently resides in Los Angeles. She is unmarried and has no children. In the near future she hopes to travel and would particularly like to visit India.

Charlotte York is the most girly out of all the Sex and the City gang and her classic feminine style perfectly matches her Park Lane hosuewife dreams.

Kristin Davis’ Charlotte character may be a successful art gallery manager but she dreams of being a kept woman and living the high life and this is reflected in the way she dresses.

Charlotte loves all things pretty and wears lots of vintage floral prints and cute bows. She aspires to be the perfect wife so shows off her feminity without being in-your-face sexy.

This doesn’t mean Charlotte can’t pull out a totally hot evening look when it’s called for. Her ‘butter wouldn’t melt’ smile makes way for killer curves when the girls hit the town.

The classic Little Black Dress is perfectly Charlotte because it shows off her fab body without being too brazen.

When she decided she didn’t want to be an frumpy bridesmaid in series two Miss York rocked this sexy halter dress and bagged herself a fling with the best man.

Charoltte may be best known for her prissy pearls and classic afternoon tea dresses but she knows how to make a statement when she chooses. After she suffered a tragic miscarriage in series 6 she was keen to show the world the strong woman inside and what better way than stepping out in this hot pink dress.
